Dana Health Sciences Library serves the health sciences needs of the UVM community, including the Larner College of Medicine and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the University of Vermont Medical Center.
Approximately 10,000 print monographs are stored at Dana. The remainder of our print collection (books and journals) are stored off site and are available for retrieval. We also have a Medical History Collection with books, manuscripts, journals, and medical instruments from the sixteenth century to the present. The emphasis of the collection is American medicine and health care in Vermont. Dana also has small Media and Reference collections.
The majority of Dana's journal subscriptions are electronic and UVM Libraries subscribes to approximately forty health-sciences databases. Researchers can search the Libraries' databases or journals directly, or can use CATQuest to search across collections.
Finally, the Libraries are proud of UVM ScholarWorks, an institutional repository of the scholarly and creative works of the UVM community.
