May I borrow materials from the Dana Health Sciences Library?
The general public is welcome to use the library materials within the library. Online materials are available, but many require that you be in one of the libraries to use them. Please Note: Some materials, such as course reserves and some online databases, are restricted to use by UVM faculty, students and staff. Please see the Dana Library Borrowing Policies for more information.
How do I get into the library in the evenings and on the weekends?
The door to enter Dana is behind Converse Hall. These vestibule doors are open until 9pm. An authorized University of Vermont CATcard is required to enter after 9pm. All entrances to the Rowell, Given, Research buildings and the Medical Education Building are locked at 7 pm nightly and on weekends. Doors to and from the hospital require a UVMMC access card after 9pm. See Visiting the Library for more information.
May I bring food in to the library?
All drinks must be in covered containers. All trash must be disposed of properly. Should a spill occur, please ask at the Main Desk for a cleanup kit.
